Directory Lister is a very nice PHP script to list the content of a directory. But it doesn’t have a download counter so I took dScript and ported the download counter part of this script to Directory Lister. No SQL required. Only PHP.
You can get the source here: https://github.com/Obihoernchen/DirectoryLister
Hope you like it 🙂

Hello! I would add the download counter to its latest version, as it contains the MD5 manager, and I find it very useful.
Could you update, or help me?
Thank you very much from now.
Hello,
I really need this script working, but is giving the following error:
“Internal Server Error”
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
…
Through firebug found the following message:
“NS_ERROR_XPC_BAD_CONVERT_JS: Could not convert JavaScript argument arg 0 [nsIDOMWindow.getComputedStyle] @ null”
I used v2.0 for a while.
Today installed 2.1.0 but it does not count downloads anymore.
Another question: php 5.3 or 5.2 is required?
Thanks.
Just a question: what about search engines? Whenever they discover my download pages, they will download everything and all counters increase?
How to avoid this? CAPTCHA?
I think crawler don’t download raw files.
Great, I was just looking for it!
Thanks!
Has anyone been able to get this to work successfully, recently? I have attempted to merge in the latest changes from Chris’s repo, but have not any results.
files download as download.php on android browser
at the very bottom i have this
Warning: array_sum() expects parameter 1 to be array, null given in /home/bers/public_html/resources/DirectoryLister.php on line 251
Forget it, and the problem is solved.
Thanks
Hello, I have tried to edit with notepad and TopStyle, PHP and CSS files to put a background image as in the example you posted on your blog, but I could not do it.
I copied the file “back.png” to / images / and I edited style.css:
body
{
padding-top: 15px;
padding-right: 0px;
padding-bottom: 15px;
padding-left: 0px;
background-image: url (‘images / back.png “);
}
But it has served me, do not see the background image.
Could you please explain how I can add a background image?
Thank you
I fixed that issue. Another thing. Is there a way to implement preventing large downloads from timing out? I have multiple 400+ MB files and they are all timing out. If I do direct link they always complete. Any help would be appreciated. Def willing to donate if I can get this last issue resolved
Do you use the newest version? If not try to download the newest version: https://github.com/Obihoernchen/DirectoryLister this should fix your issue.
I implemented this and I get Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ‘)’ in /home/content/79/9790479/html/uploads/resources/config.php on line 20
I didn’t change anything but renaming that config file. Thanks.
edit line 16
‘download.php’,
it was missing the ‘ at the end
Can implement this: http://www.phpcaptcha.org/documentation/quickstart-guide/ ?
Or any other system to make it dynamically created?
Thanks
Hello, how are you?
I have a question or comment to make:
1) When making zip file downloads, Firefox indicates an MP3 file.
2) When using the config.php file provided in the download of Directory Lister, shows only a blank page, I had to use the config.php file downloading content https://github.com/DirectoryLister/DirectoryLister/downloads
3) appeared in the listing file downloads.php (I could hide putting a period at the beginning of the name)
4) is it possible to add a Captcha to the download links?
I’m offering free hosting for some Android ROMs for XDA guys and I need care the bandwidth.
